Holy smokes!

We’ve got a new weekly feature here at SSMP and, hopefully, you think it’s pretty cool beans. It’s called This Week in Seattle Social Media and I would love some community involvement with this. Here’s how it’ll work. Every Friday, I will compile a list of the most interesting and relevant information from that week. Most of the info will revolve around social media and will include blog posts, news, interesting or funny tweets from Seattle social media tweeps, and whatever else is useful or just plain funny. Not all of what you’ll find in this feature will relate to social media, as you’ll see, but for the most part, that will be the main focus.

Now, here’s where you come in.

Seattle Social Media Profiles’ goal is to give back to the social media community here in Seattle by doing our part to nurture it. We want new conversations to start between people based on what they can find here on our site. With that, what I would love is if “This Week in Seattle Social Media” was a community-based effort. So here’s the deal: for every section in this weekly feature, I will accept submissions from you throughout the week, whether that be a blog post, a #SeaSMFollow recommendation, or just a funny story or video. On Friday, I will post the best from that week (and of course, I will give credit to those who submitted the information).

So if you think you’ve come across a great blog article about social media in Seattle, send it my way—I’ll post it. If you find a funny or insightful tweet from a Seattle social media tweep you follow, send it my way—I’ll post it. If you have a great new tweep here in Seattle you think everyone should follow, send it my way (with a reason in 140 characters, plz)—I’ll post it. I can’t post everything, but would love it if this section of the blog were built by the Seattle social media community.

Please send submissions to kenjionozawa@hotmail.com.
